Getting started with Casato

Getting started with Casato

Welcome — here’s how to turn Casato into your own property site in about an afternoon. No code required.

1. Duplicate & rename

Remix the template into your workspace and rename the project.

2. Make it yours (Style Guide first)

Open the Style Guide page. Change the colors and fonts there once — they cascade across the whole site. Swap the logo in the nav and footer.

3. Replace the content (CMS)

Casato runs on five CMS collections (the FAQs are covered in 3.2). Open the CMS panel and replace the demo entries with your own:

  • Listings — your properties. Each has Title, Status (Available / Reserved / Sold), Type, Offer (Sale / Rent), Price, Area, rooms/beds/baths, living area, year, cover image, gallery, description, highlights, and an assigned Agent. Set Featured = true on the handful you want on the homepage.

  • Agents — your team. Photo, role, phone, email, bio, languages. Each agent’s own listings attach to their profile automatically.

  • Areas — your districts/locations. Name, image, short description, average price. These drive the location filter.

  • Testimonials — client quotes.

3.1 Property photos & lightbox

Each listing has a Cover image (used on cards and as the hero) and a Gallery field for more photos. The editorial gallery under the hero and the full-screen lightbox (“View all photos”) read the Gallery field automatically — add or remove photos in the CMS and both update. To bulk-import photos, use the free CSV Gallery Import plugin: one column with the listing slug, one with the image URLs separated by commas.

3.2 FAQ

The FAQ section on the home page is driven by the FAQs collection (Question, Answer, Order). Edit, add or reorder questions in the CMS — no canvas work needed.

3.3 Newsletter

The footer contains a native Framer form with one email field. Submissions appear under Forms in your project settings on a paid site plan, where you can also connect the form to your email tool.

3.4 Call agent

The “Call agent” button on every listing uses the agent’s Phone Link field (a tel: link such as tel:+41791234567). Fill it in for each agent so phones open the dialer directly.

3.5 Agent profiles

Each agent page is built from the Agents collection. Besides photo, role, bio, phone and email it uses Since (the year they joined — shown in the hero), Quote and Quote By (a short client quote shown next to the bio), plus Phone Link (tel:), Email Link (mailto:) and WhatsApp Link (https://wa.me/…) for the three buttons in the contact card. Leave Quote empty if you have none; the block simply stays empty.

4. Swap the images

Replace every demo image with your own licensed photography (the demo images are AI-generated placeholders — see the License page).

⚠️ Everything in the demo is fictional — replace it before you go live.

Casato ships fully populated so you can see how it scales, but none of it is real. The agency, the location (“Arvela am Lago Sarn”), all 40 properties and their prices, the four agents, and every client testimonial are invented for demonstration.

  • The testimonials. Publishing invented client quotes as if they were real reviews is misleading advertising in most markets. Delete them or replace them with quotes you actually have permission to use.

  • The agents. The names, portraits, phone numbers and email addresses are made up. Swap in your real team before the site goes public.

A quick pre-launch pass: Listings → Agents → Testimonials → Areas. If a collection still contains anything from Arvela, it isn’t ready to publish.

5. Tune the search filter

The property search on the Properties page filters by Area, Type, Buy/Rent, and Price. The price ranges are simple buckets (“Under €1M”, “€1–3M”, …) you can rename to match your market — edit them on the Listings collection’s price-range option field.

6. Update the details

  • Contact email and phone in the footer and Contact page.

  • The Sell/valuation form recipient.

  • Social links, legal pages, and the site’s SEO title/description in Framer’s page settings.

7. Publish

Connect your domain and hit Publish. That’s it.

Tips

  • Keep the number of Featured listings small (3–6) so the homepage stays tight.

  • Add listings anytime — the grids and filters update automatically.

  • Need a real min/max price slider instead of buckets? That’s an optional code upgrade; buckets work fully out of the box with no dependencies.
